Bulky waste

This service is for large items that you cannot use, recycle, reuse, or take to a recycling centre. 

Our collection costs for most items are:

• £14.88 for a collection of 1 to 3 items
• £29.76 for a collection of 4 to 6 items
• £44.64 for a collection of 7 to 9 items

If you want us to collect something that's not in the list when you book, you can ask us for a custom quote, based on the size and types of items you want collected.

Book a bulky waste collection

You can also pay with a debit card or credit card at a customer service centre. Some some customer service centres accept cash payments.

How to prepare for your collection

We'll let you know which day your items will be collected, so you know when to have them ready for collection.

The bulky waste must be:

• ready for collection by 7.30am on your collection day
• at your usual waste collection point, or no more than 5 metres (16.5 feet) from it, if it's in your front garden or yard

We cannot help you carry large items from your home to the collection point.

If your rubbish bin is collected from the end of your road, we may ask you to leave your bulky waste there. This is to make sure our collection vehicles can get to the collection point.

Damaged seating items

Any seating items with cushions or padding, like sofas, office chairs and futons, must be clean and intact, if they include:

• leather
• synthetic leather
• padding material
• foam
• other material

Any broken, torn, dirty, ripped or exposed parts of them must be sealed with plastic bags, shrink wrap or duct tape.

Change your collection

If you have booked a collection and want to change the items, you will have to cancel the collection and book a new one.

If you cancel your collection less than 5 working days before the collection date, you will not get a refund.
