Get a refund of overpaid Council Tax

Your Council Tax bill will show whether you have a credit balance and how to request a refund. It takes us up to 30 working days to process refunds.
If you do not claim a refund, we'll reduce your future payments.
You'll need your Council Tax account number. This is shown at the top of your bill. It starts with an 8 and is 10 digits long.
