Monday 31 March to Sunday 31 August 2025

Church Street, Stranraer has a road closure from Monday 31 March until Sunday 31 August, 2025 (or when works are complete) due to building works.

This road closure will affect services 365, 367 and 407.

Wednesday 26 March to Friday 28 March 2025

Due to road resurfacing works on the A709 Bellridding to Ryemuir, Torthorwald the Houstons service 381 will need to be diverted as follows:

The 9.20am and 3.30pm service from Lockerbie to Dumfries and 10am Dumfries to Lockerbie will divert from Lochmaben along the B7020 to Dalton, B725 to Carruthertown then A75 to Dumfries and return to normal route from Brownrigg Roundabout.

Stops between Lochmaben and Brownrigg Roundabout will not be served during the times listed above.

Wednesday 26 March to Friday 28 March 2025

Due to road resurfacing works on the A709 Bellridding to Ryemuir, Torthorwald the Stagecoach service 81 will need to be diverted as follows between 9am and 5pm daily:

• Dumfries – Lockerbie bound services will divert after the Peel Centre by Dumfries Bypass and following the A75 to Carrutherstown, then take the B725 to Dalton, Then take the B7020 to Lochmaben, once in Lochmaben please service the town hall stop and turn at the monument. Thereafter please return to normal route to Lockerbie.
• Lockerbie – Dumfries bound services will divert after Lochmaben, Turn at the monument/town hall. Take B7020 to Dalton, B725 To Carrutherstown, A75 to Dumfries Bypass and resume normal service from Lockerbie Road.

Saturday 29 March and Sunday 30 March 2025

The A75 has a weekend closure between Drummore Roundabout and Merklandsyde on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March 2025 for essential carriageway maintenance.

Stagecoach service 500 will divert between Haugh of Urr and Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary via Dalbeattie A711 and Garroch Loaning.

A free shuttle service, funded by Transport Scotland, is being provided between the layby east of Shawhead Road End and Castle Douglas for the affected service trips.

Monday 3 March to Monday 31 March 2025

South Lanarkshire Council - A702 Dumfries Road, Elvanfoot – Temporary Road Closure

Due to the above, the 102 Dumfries to Edinburgh, Houstons bus service will not be able to serve Thornhill and Elvanfoot between 3 March and 31 March 2025, it will travel via Moffat replicating the 101A service, please see amended 102 timetable.

A701/Tinwald Downs Road Roundabout

To facilitate drainage works on the roundabout.

During these works they will be done under 24 hour temporary lights, there is no closure planned. Delays will be expected for the duration of the works.
