School clothing grants

School clothing grants help with the cost of school clothing for families who are on a qualifying benefit or on a low income.

How to qualify

If your child gets free school meals on financial grounds, you'll automatically get a school clothing grant. If your child does not get free school meals on financial grounds you'll have to apply.

If your child is in Primary 1 to Primary 5 they will automatically get free school meals. To get a school clothing grant you'll have to show they qualify on financial grounds.

How to apply

When you apply for school clothing grants you'll also be applying for free school meals and holiday food payments.
