Gymnastics Class Membership offers fantastic facilities across 5 centres in the heart of your community, with the region's largest team of trained staff on-hand to inspire you towards achieving your gymnastics goals.
A stimulating play environment that helps children towards the sporting pathway and being active for life. It builds confidence and strength, improves balance and coordination. Children will follow the Dumfries and Galloway Preschool gymnastics award scheme and will be awarded certificates to show their progress through the scheme.
The first step on the ladder to our gymnastics journey. Children must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 ratio. They progress through the scheme and move up on to the Gymstars class when they are 3 years old.
The children work independently with a focus on learning key skills and shapes. They graduate to the DG Club gymnastics award scheme when they start primary school.
For children of all abilities to work through and complete the Dumfries and Galloway gymnastics award scheme. The scheme tracks progress through the 8 levels and encourages children to learn new skills, building their self-confidence and making new friends as they go. They will be rewarded for passing each level with a certificate.
This class is for boys of all abilities to work through and complete the Dumfries and Galloway gymnastics award scheme. This class offers a pathway for children who have completed the core awards scheme and wish to stay in the sport but do something a bit different. It is an exciting discipline where gymnasts will concentrate on trampette, vault, floor dance/tumble. They will work in groups and learn group floor displays to music, so if you are a team player then this is the class for you (spaces are limited).
A structured gymnastics class suitable for all abilities from beginners to former gymnasts. Coaches will lead a warm up and stretch followed by some apparatus work. This class is a fun way to improve your balance coordination, flexibility and overall fitness. Coaches will provide safe progressions for your ability level and provide help and advice with skills you would like to master.
Entry is by assessment. Coaches will select gymnasts that they feel have the potential to improve further to attend an assessment. This class is a 2-hour class and focusses on skill development and will prepare them for entry in to the Solway Gymnastics Club.
Solway Gymnastics Club. Entry is through the Development Squad and by assessment. This club prepares gymnasts to compete in national floor and vault competitions as well as developing their floor and vault skills. They train for 4 hours a week.
