The event shone a light on the stories, successes and positive experiences of those who have taken part in adult and community learning across Dumfries and Galloway. It brought together learners, tutors, partners and supporters from across the region to celebrate personal and group achievements through learning.

This year’s celebration included awards across ten categories, with contributions from speakers representing the council and key partner organisations. The event was formally opened by Councillor Maureen Johnstone, Chair of Dumfries and Galloway Council's Education, Skills and Community Wellbeing Committee, and closed by Councillor Lynne Davis, Vice Chair. Both also took part in presenting the awards – reflecting the importance the council places on celebrating lifelong learning and its impact on people and communities.

The event also featured a ballet performance by learner Mariia Turdio, which added an even more personal and creative touch to the celebration.
