  • request a free flood survey

  • make sure you know how to turn off your gas, electricity and water
  • make sure you are insured; find out more about flood insurance
  • keep your drains clear to allow surface water to escape
  • find out about our flood pod and sandbag policy
  • take before photographs of your property and contents, to compare with photos after a flood
  • back up important computer data and protect items that can't be replaced
  • move your car to higher ground if it's safe to do so
