Step 1: who is the Blue Badge for?
If you are checking eligibility for you or someone else, go to step 2.

If you are checking eligibility for an organisation, go to step 3.
Step 2: where does the applicant live?
The person who wants a Blue Badge can only get it from us if they live in the Dumfries and Galloway Council area.
Step 3: where is your organisation based?
You can only get a Blue Badge from us if your organisation cares for disabled people that live in the Dumfries and Galloway Council area.
Step 4: what is the disability?
Check if any of these apply to the person who wants a Blue Badge.
Step 5: previous Blue Badge mobility assessment
Has the person who wants a Blue Badge been advised that a further assessment for future blue badge applications would not be needed?
Step 6: ability to walk
This step only applies if the person who wants a Blue Badge is over the age of 2 and is unable to walk.
Step 7: severe disability in both arms
This step is about someone who drives regularly, and has a severe disability in both arms that means they have difficulty using parking meters.
Step 8: applicants under 3
This step only applies if the person who wants a Blue Badge is under the age of 3.
Step 9: awareness of danger from traffic
If the person who needs a Blue Badge lacks awareness of danger from traffic, they may be eligible for a Blue Badge.
