Our centre in Castle Douglas offers a day service for adults with autism, learning and physical disabilities.

Castle Douglas Activity and Resource Centre provides a day service to adults with autism, learning and physical disabilities from the age of 18. 

We have the skills and experience to support our clients and families/carers by providing information, guidance and support to access other services.

Referrals

To attend this centre, please speak to your social worker. If you do not have a social worker, you can request to have a social care assessment.

Committees and groups

We have an active committee made up of clients who represent their fellow members. They are involved with, and contribute to, how the centre is run. 

We are also supported by a parent/carer group who are also involved in such things as staff recruitment, fundraising and decision making.

We offer a range of activities and training, including:

Clients are also offered the opportunity of work experience at the Print Shop in Castle Douglas. This business provides work skills and training whilst providing a valuable and wide ranging printing service to the local community.
