Justice social work
Justice social work is a field of social work that aims to:
- reduce reoffending
- protect the public
- help people involved in the criminal justice system
- promote partnership working, between us and the third sector and independent organisations
It is governed by national legislation and justice legislation – Scottish Government.
Community justice partnership
We work together with the local community justice partnership. We work:
- to prevent and reduce further offending by addressing its underlying causes
- together to help safely and effectively manage and support those who have committed offences – this helps to enable them to reintegrate effectively into their community and realise their potential
