Your availability
The amount of time you commit to volunteering depends on where you choose to volunteer.
We are happy to work around your schedule and will discuss your availability with you after you’ve completed the expression of interest form. We are keen for consistency but can offer flexibility.
Fill in the expression of interest
By filling in the form, we will be able to get an idea of what you would like to do and how much time you have to give.
If you have a disability, please let us know in the form and we can make reasonable adjustments to support you.
By completing this form you are giving us permission to contact you on the details provided regarding volunteer opportunities.
Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG)
PVG scheme is managed by Disclosure Scotland. It helps to make sure that people who are unsuitable to work with children and protected adults cannot do regulated work with these vulnerable groups.
If there is something that may come up in the PVG, come and have a private discussion with us – please don’t assume you can’t volunteer. All information will be dealt with sensitively.
For more information, read Protection of Vulnerable Groups - Disclosure Scotland
If you have a criminal record
A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from becoming a volunteer; the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the volunteering role. If you do have any convictions, please add this information on your expression of interest form (this will be kept confidential).
After you have expressed interest
We will be in touch once you have submitted the form to have an initial discussion about volunteering with us. You can expect us to be in touch within one week of submitting the form.
